Munay-Ki Mentorship Workshop Dates: July 24 – 27 (Friday, 6:00 p.m. – Monday, 2:00 p.m. ) and August 21 – 24 (Friday, 6:00 p.m. – Monday, 2:00 p.m.) (Arrival time 2-5 on Friday of both weekends)
The Munay-Ki Rites Munay-Ki comes from the Q’echuan language of Peru meaning “I love you” or “Be as Thou Art”. The energy of the Munay-Ki is that of deep, unconditional love. Recently, the Q’ero elders of the high Andes of Peru, have expressed their heartfelt desire that those who feel the call, come forward to receive and share the Munay-Ki rites. Three of the rites are energetic installations in your luminous energy field, bringing you tremendous protection and sources of empowerment as they awaken your “birthrite” healing gifts. Six rites are energetic transmissions connecting you to spiritual lineages of healers, wisdom keepers, earth stewards, the angelic realms and the Creator energies of the universe. Through the lineage rites, you will have direct contact with the luminous beings who now reside in Spirit yet are available to assist us on our human journey.
As you receive and cultivate these rites, your light body begins to cleanse and transmute heavy energies, karma and ancestral wounds from this and even former lifetimes. As you step into the lineages, you find you are supported by the luminous beings who will assist you with your personal healing, as well as your becoming a person of wisdom and power.
Traditionally, these rites were only offered to shamans in the Andean traditions undergoing rigorous initiation into the medicine way. Today, these rites are being gifted to us by the wisdom keepers of the Andean traditions of Peru, to share – planting seeds of Light, for the new emerging human. We do not have to wait for this new peaceful, spiritual warrior to appear, for as the Hopi elders teach us, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for”. Over these two weekends, you will practice powerful energetic and spiritual processes and ceremonies to support your transformational journey thru the rites, including:
• Creating and working within sacred space
• Munay-Ki breath and meditation practices
• Transformational fire ceremonies
• Self-empowerment spiritual practices
• Embodying the sacred through movement and sound
• Working with archetypal energies of the Andean cosmology
• Creating a personal medicine wheel for healing
• Shamanic journeying to retrieve sources of power & protection
• Developing relationship with Pachamama, Mother Earth and the Spirits of Place
• Honoring the Sacred Feminine and the Sacred Masculine
• Connecting to the sacred Apus – Mountain energy – places of wisdom and power
You will plant the seeds for your own becoming….and take your place around the fire as a lineage keeper. You will be stepping into the mystery teachings which cannot be “taught”, but which come to you through direct personal experience. (Part 2 Munay-Ki Stewardship, learning how to transmit all nine rites, is scheduled for the spring of 2010 at this same location.)
Workshop Location:
We will be gathering at a beautiful summer cottage on Ambajejus Lake with an unobstructed view of Mt. Katahdin – sacred mountain of the Wabanki people. Our gathering place is just 7 miles from Baxter State Park, where we will spend time in sacred ceremony on and with this powerful mountain.
Please plan on being outdoors in nature, much of the time, including being in ceremony at night under the stars. In Maine, that means being prepared for all kinds of weather, (hot, cool, and/or wet) A suggested list of items to bring, directions, release form, and other information will be e-mailed upon receipt of your deposit.
Workshop Facilitator – Debra Rainbow Heart is a Full Mesa Carrier in the Peruvian wisdom keeper traditions, a shamanic practitioner and Munay-Ki Mentor and Steward. She received the first eight Munay-Ki Rites (Karkpays) over a three year period while doing her personal medicine wheel healing work and shamanic training with Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D. and Linda Fitch, Founder/Dean of the Four Winds Society – Healing the Light Body School. She received the ninth rite, and learned how to transmit all the Munay-Ki Rites during a “life changing” week of rites and ceremony with the Q’ero elders of Peru.
Debra has been engaged in the healing arts for nearly 25 years as a student, teacher, polarity therapy, bodywork and energy medicine practitioner, ceremonialist, facilitator, mentor, workshop leader, artist, and musician. She has completed eight week-long shamanic intensives with The Four Winds Society, studied core shamanism with faculty from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and completed the Polarity Realization Institute’s 650 hour Polarity Therapy program in 1998. She has had an integrative energy medicine practice since 1996. Debra has been blessed to study with and/or co-create ceremony with numerous Native American and multi-cultural elders from the United States, Mexico, Peru, Mongolia, and Tibet.
