Three Munay-Ki Mentorship Classes Complete Level 1 in 2009

Eighteen participants from three classes recently completed the Level 1 mentorship class in the Munay-Ki Rites. Each member received all nine rites, and learned practices for growing and integrating these sacred rites. The mentorship also included sharing of mystery teachings, personal energy clearings, shamanic journeying, guided meditations, ritual and fire ceremonies. The The Rites Mentorship Class was developed and led by Debra Rainbow Heart, and took place at the Spiritual Renaissance Center in South Portland, Maine and Gardens of Atlantis in Dayton, ME. In addition to the mentorships, 15 individuals from two “Grandmothers Circles” have been receiving the nine rites over the summer and fall.
The Great Rites of Englightenment are seeds of light setting us on the path to wisdom, grace and stewardship – not only of our own lives, but of our planet and the creation itself. Beautiful and powerful shifts were experienced beginning with the Healer’s rite and continued throughout the program.

The Solstices and Equinoxes are a powerful time for re-aligning ourselves with creation, our purpose, our passion and our intentions on this earth walk. The Despacho is the central healing ceremony of the Andean shamanic path. We will be conducing an “Ayni Despacho” creating/restoring/maintaining “ayni” or balance/harmony/reciprocity with Pachamama (Mother Earth), the “Apus” or sacred mountains, and the heavens above, as well as within our being…and with our larger community. We will create a love offering filled with our prayers blown into “kintus” as we create a beautiful mandala filled with flowers, sweets, seeds, and symbols of our prayers.
Creating the Despacho
After the despacho is created, each participant will be cleansed with this sacred bundle before it is offered to Spirit in a fire ceremony…where our prayers are “dispatched” to Spirit. Shamans and indigineous elders believe these ceremonies are needed to maintain and/or restore order, harmony, abundance and blessings from the earth and Creator. Such a ceremony is an expression of gratitude, love and respect for all we receive from nature and Spirit and maintains “ayni” balance. As we offer Spirit our prayers and offerings, we seed the manifestation of the prayers we offer to the fire. I hope you will join me for the powerful night of ceremony and celebration!!

“I recreated the space to reflect my love of the southwest, and to be a sanctuary for peace and healing. The walls are painted in soft washes to create the warmth and rustic feeling of adobe. The green and rose accents create a soothing, welcoming space. ” The light filled room overlooks the Saco River, and is accented with Debra’s original art work as well Southwestern art.

The ajoining waiting area also features some of Debra’s art and southwest decorative pieces along with a bookcase filled with books on the healing arts, Native American and shamanic healing themes. Just outside this hidden retreat and entrance at the rear of the house, is a sweet cottage flower and herb garden complete with a wicker chair for relaxing before or after a healing session. The garden features a healing medicine circle of crytstals, amethyst clusters and herbs, along with an Inka Sun Staff blessed by the Q’ero elders in ceremony in the high Andes of Peru. Standing in this energy vortex is a powerful experience!

A short stroll leads you down to the banks of the river, or to a natural log seat for enjoying a shady retreat and the reflections of light on the water. “Our back yard and river frontage has numerous visitors including bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, wood ducks, river otters, beaver, red fox, red tail and marsh hawks, crows and ravens, piliated woodpeckers, woodchuck, chipmunks, racoons, indigo bunting, cardinals, cedar wax wings and hummingbirds to name some of our favorites! We are located a short walk or drive from several nature preserve areas, which serve as the extended outdoor classroom for some of the workshops and classes I offer. These magical retreating places expand opportunities to connect with nature and ourselves on a deeper level.

Awaken Your Heart and Activate Your Light Body – With the Nine Sacred Rites of Empowerment and Transformation
Munay-Ki comes from a Quechua word meaning “I love you” or “Be as Thou Art”. The Munay-Ki Rites and mentorship launch a deep and accelerated transformational process of personal and spiritual healing and empowerment. This program offers you concrete processes, ceremonies and resources to support your cultivation and integration of the nine “great rites”. (Please see brief description of each rite on the attached sheet.) The mentorship will include history and evolution of these sacred rites recently gifted by the Q’ero shamans from the high Andes of Peru; practices for cultivating and “growing” the rites to support the development of your “rainbow body” and to deeply anchor your connections to the six lineage rites you will receive. You will learn powerful ways to engage your healing process on the energetic level so you have minimal engagement on the literal level as issues surface to be cleared. You will plant the seeds for your own becoming….and take your place around the fire as a lineage keeper. You will be stepping into the mystery teachings which cannot be “taught”, but which come to you through direct personal experience. You will have opportunity to connect with Pachamama, Mother Earth, letting her nurture, support and inform you. Woven into our experiences will be ritual, fire ceremony, working with the center’s medicine wheel, drumming, movement, guided meditations, journaling and B-E-I-N-G. Time will be also be available before and after the mentorship class times to rest, renew and commune in nature amidst the flowers, fields, forest and waters that are home to Gardens of Atlantis.

Living at 14,000 feet in the high Andes of Peru, these medicine men and women have been the keepers of the prophecies and sacred rites for the past 500 years. The Munay-Ki Rites Munay-Ki comes from the Q’echuan language of Peru meaning “I love you” or “Be as Thou Art”. The energy of the Munay-Ki is that of deep, unconditional love. Recently, the Q’ero elders of the high Andes of Peru, have expressed their heartfelt desire that those who feel the call, come forward to receive and share the Munay-Ki rites. Three of the rites are energetic installations in your luminous energy field, bringing you tremendous protection and sources of empowerment as they awaken your “birthrite” healing gifts. Six rites are energetic transmissions connecting you to spiritual lineages of healers, wisdom keepers, earth stewards, the angelic realms and the Creator energies of the universe. Through the lineage rites, you will have direct contact with the luminous beings who now reside in Spirit yet are available to assist us on our human journey.
As you receive and cultivate these rites, your light body begins to cleanse and transmute heavy energies, karma and ancestral wounds from this and even former lifetimes. As you step into the lineages, you find you are supported by the luminous beings who will assist you with your personal healing, as well as your becoming a person of wisdom and power.
Traditionally, these rites were only offered to shamans in the Andean traditions undergoing rigorous initiation into the medicine way. Today, these rites are being gifted to us by the wisdom keepers of the Andean traditions of Peru, to share – planting seeds of Light, for the new emerging human. We do not have to wait for this new peaceful, spiritual warrior to appear, for as the Hopi elders teach us, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for”. Over these two weekends, you will practice powerful energetic and spiritual processes and ceremonies to support your transformational journey thru the rites, including:

Workshop Location:
We will be gathering at a beautiful summer cottage on Ambajejus Lake with an unobstructed view of Mt. Katahdin – sacred mountain of the Wabanki people. Our gathering place is just 7 miles from Baxter State Park, where we will spend time in sacred ceremony on and with this powerful mountain.
Please plan on being outdoors in nature, much of the time, including being in ceremony at night under the stars. In Maine, that means being prepared for all kinds of weather, (hot, cool, and/or wet) A suggested list of items to bring, directions, release form, and other information will be e-mailed upon receipt of your deposit.
